This shelter register was left at South Brown Mountain Shelter on the Pacific Crest Trail in Oregon, 1.9 miles north of Dead Indian Road, 0.4 mile south of County Road 740, and 10.0 miles south of Oregon State Highway 140, which is the road access to Fish Lake Resort. It was started on 29 December 1999, and was packed out after the last entry on 30 August 2000. It was provided for inclusion here by "Prehistoric" Tony Nitz, a 2000 northbound Pacific Crest Trail thru-hiker, after his stay in the shelter on the night of 31 August 2000. Unfortunately, there was no address or other indication whether or how to send the completed register back to the person who left it, so the original remains on file at the Hiker Trash Haven until claimed. The register's 70 pages have been scanned, and are displayed here in order and unedited. To aid in finding a page of interest, the caption for each page indicates the date of the first entry on that page. To read a page of the register, just click on the thumbnail for a full sized view.
